A ceramic full-polishing glaze built for polished-glaze tile lines that fire between 1150 and 1200°C and polish the glaze surface after firing. It delivers very high post-polishing gloss, an exceptionally smooth mirror-like finish, and vivid color development that keeps printed decoration sharp instead of dulling or muting it.

Formulated to fire within a 1150–1200°C kiln range, so it fits conventional ceramic firing profiles instead of demanding a dedicated kiln setting. Stable color performance is maintained through firing and the post-firing polishing step.
After polishing, the glaze surface reaches very high gloss with an exceptionally smooth, mirror-like finish — the visual result your polished-glaze tile range is sold on.
Good slip resistance, good stain resistance and excellent wear resistance are delivered together, supporting floor tile applications where surfaces are walked on and cleaned repeatedly.
Printed decoration stays vivid. The glaze does not dull or mute the colors underneath, which protects the design intent of digitally printed or screen printed patterns.
Designed for polished-glaze tiles in 600×600 mm, 800×800 mm and 1000×1000 mm formats, covering the sizes most polished-glaze lines run.
Developed for good compatibility with underlying glaze layers and with digital printing, which reduces the risk of interaction problems between the base glaze, the decoration and the polishing glaze.

RFG-FP01 is the full-polishing glaze grade covered on this page. Selection is driven by the tile format you run and the decoration route your line uses rather than by a long model list: the same grade is intended for 600×600 mm, 800×800 mm and 1000×1000 mm polished-glaze tiles, and it works with digital inkjet printing, screen printing and other decoration processes. RENOVA's wider catalogue of ceramic frits and glazes covers separate applications and is quoted separately from RFG-FP01.
RFG-FP01 is a ceramic glaze applied as the surface layer of a polished-glaze tile build. In production the glaze sits above the underlying glaze layer and the printed decoration, is fired at 1150–1200°C, and is then polished on the tile polishing line to reveal the gloss. Because the glaze is required to be compatible with the base glaze layers and with digital printing, it is formulated for stable interaction across that stack — the printed design underneath should read clearly after firing and after polishing. The polished result is a smooth, mirror-like glaze surface rather than a raw fired glaze surface.
RFG-FP01 serves ceramic manufacturing and polished-glaze tile manufacturing. Typical use is polished-glaze floor and wall tile production where the glaze surface is decorated, fired and then polished. The glaze is run on lines equipped with a ceramic kiln, glaze mixing and preparation equipment, digital inkjet printer or screen printing equipment, and tile polishing equipment. Production conditions that matter are the firing curve, the underlying glaze system, the decoration method and the polishing set-up; the glaze is specified around those conditions rather than used as a drop-in for every line.
RENOVA's technical team of 29 technicians works with a customer's own factory technicians to fine-tune formulation and application after a suitable product has been selected. Adjustment is made against the ceramic body, the kiln type, the firing temperature and the production process in use. Customers can evaluate suitability through production trials before committing a formulation. Share your body composition, kiln profile, tile format and decoration method when requesting a trial so the starting formulation can be matched to your line.
Which tile sizes is RFG-FP01 intended for?
It is designed for polished-glaze tiles in 600×600 mm, 800×800 mm and 1000×1000 mm formats.
What firing temperature does it require?
The glaze is formulated for a firing temperature of 1150–1200°C.
Which decoration processes can be used with it?
It is suitable for digital inkjet printing, screen printing and other decoration processes, and it is formulated for good compatibility with digital printing and with the underlying glaze layers.
Will it dull the printed colors?
No. RFG-FP01 is described as delivering vivid color development without dulling or muting printed colors, and color performance is intended to stay stable through firing and post-firing polishing.
What surface does it produce after polishing?
Post-polishing gloss is very high, with an exceptionally smooth, mirror-like surface finish. Slip resistance and stain resistance are good, and wear resistance is excellent.
Can the formulation be adjusted to my body and kiln?
Yes. RENOVA technicians fine-tune the formulation and application process against your ceramic body, kiln type, firing temperature and production process, and suitability can be checked through production trials.
What equipment is needed to run it?
A ceramic kiln, glaze mixing and preparation equipment, a digital inkjet printer and/or screen printing equipment, and tile polishing equipment.
