Silk twill is twill structure, the shrinkage is bigger than tabby fabrics. The surface of the fabric has obvious diagonal grain. It has good hand feeling, gloss and elasticity, but soft degree still cannot compare with CDC and Satin fabric, because this won\'t use real silk twill to do a bed to taste commonly, compare real silk twill silk with crepe kind and satin kind. So, silk twill won\'t be used to make beddings, and will be used at making garment and scarf.

One of the biggest characteristics of twill is that it is soft and does not fall, that is, it has a poor sagging feel. This kind of character that feels a little bit of bone is most appropriate to outer garment, because too close-fitting material is very hard modelling and the physical demands on people are very high. Another feature of twill is that its gloss is close to matte, so it is not as shiny as crepe satin, which is also an advantage for those who prefer a more restrained style.

The thickness of silk twill is mostly 12/14/16/18/19/22/35mm/40mm. It should be noted that the thickness of silk twill cannot be compared with that of silk fabrics like crepe and satin, just as the thickness of crepe de chine cannot be compared with that of plain crepe satin. If the crepe de chine is 12 mm, it can only be used for inner lining and so on, while 12 mm twill can be used for clothing, 16 mm twill feel very solid.
