The APEX-CMDC flanged mill-duty hydraulic cylinder is engineered for demanding steel mill applications such as rolling mills and continuous casting machines. Constructed with heavy-wall precision-honed steel barrel and high-strength alloy steel piston rod, it delivers robust performance under high pressure, high-frequency cycling, and harsh environmental conditions. With a bore range of 50–320 mm and working pressure up to 250 bar, these cylinders provide reliable force for pressing, clamping, and positioning tasks. Flanged mounting ensures high structural rigidity and stable alignment. The replaceable gland design simplifies maintenance, while optional position sensors enable precise control in automated production lines.

Custom configurations available:
The cylinder barrel is made from heavy-wall precision-honed seamless steel tube. The piston rod is high-strength alloy steel with hard chrome or induction-hardened chrome surface treatment. Piston, head, and base are high-strength forged or machined steel. Flanges are high-strength forged or machined steel. Wear rings are high-load reinforced polymer, phenolic composite, or bronze guide material. Primary seals are high-pressure polyurethane, PTFE composite, or industrial sealing system; static seals are NBR or FKM.
Ideal for steel mills, metallurgical equipment, aluminum processing, rolling mills, continuous casting equipment, industrial hydraulic presses, forging equipment, and foundry equipment. Common functions include pressing, clamping, lifting, tilting, positioning, and roll-gap adjustment in heavy industrial production lines.
We customize bore, stroke, rod diameter, ports, mountings, cushioning, sensors, and surface protection based on your drawings or verified samples. Options include water-glycol-compatible seals, protective boots, and water cooling for high-temperature environments. Material, welding, inspection, and pressure-test documentation can be supplied per OEM requirements.
Up to 250 bar for the standard product range. Final pressure is determined by the approved hydraulic-system specification.
Longer strokes require individual engineering review to ensure buckling stability and performance.
Flange, trunnion, clevis, spherical bearing, foot mount, and custom options are available.
